The PASA has been existing in different schools around the nation.  But, still there is no specific organization for the merging of all of these to gather every organization in one event. Through the will of the mother organization, the PAEAFI, to unit the organizations focus in office administration it became possible to launch the PASOA-National.  PASOA – National will be an organization by which all the office administration organization from different schools will be affiliated to.

When the PAEOAFI planned to organize the PASOA in 2004, they were confronted with too many situations to overcome.  There was no fund to be used for the convention, no student officers to assist, and no idea of how responsive the target will be.  But, they looked at all odds positively and pushed through with the project of launching the PASOA National

The first PASOA National Convention was held on November 26, 2004, in San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila.  The theme of the Convention was, PASOA:  “Moving Towards a New Direction”.  Mr. Jose S. Sabaulan fo La Salette University, Isabela, chaired the event.  It was very lucky to have Jollibee Food Inc. and Centro Escolar University as one of the major sponsors.

The guest speakers were: Dr. Nimfa D. De Vera, PRO-PAEOAFI and Miss Marivic Roldan, Director-Human Resource International, West Contact Service.  Prof. Benjamin D. Since it was the first time of the elected student officers to organize a convention seminar, it didn’t become easy for them.  Above all, the convention became successful.

It became the stepping stone of the national organization and elected student officers to bring all over the nation different projects that will benefit its members.  By the year 2005 in the month of February, the first inter-school skills competition was held hosted by the JAS of Centro Escolar University. It was attended by different school PASOA organizations.  The champion in typing was won by Hercules Rodriguez of MSEUF, Lucena and the champion in stenography was won by PUP-Sta. Mesa.

For the continuous movement of the organization, the PASOA-National organized its 2nd National Convention. The 2nd PASOA National Convention was held on November 25, 2005, in Aula Minor, Pasig Catholic College, Pasig City.  The theme was PASOA:  “Linking, Landscaping and Expanding Horizon”.  Ms. Angelita C. Tan was the adviser and chair of the Convention. The host of the said Convention was Pasig Catholic College.

The speakers were Miss Annaliza D. Valencia, Global Resource Team Leader – Etelicare Global Solutions, and Prof. Luzviminda I. Hernandez.  The convention was attended by the following schools:  PUP-Mulanay, PUP-Lopez, Saint Ferdinand University, CEU-Mendiola, PCU, PCC, ULS, SMU, CVCITC, DLSU, EARIST, NCT, Magsaysay Memorial College, Columban College, UPHSL, MSEUF.

Dellosa expressed her gratitude to Dr. Jose G. Atienza, VP for External Affairs, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Administrative staff and Dean Paz L. Bobadilla, for the support they have given to make the convention possible. They gave thanks the PASOA adviser, Ms. Angelita C. Tan and Mr. Joe S. Sabaulan for giving their quality time and assistance to the PASOA officers.

The theme of the Convention is Office Administration Career:  Local Perspective, Global Focus”.  They invited experts from the industry, Philippine Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals, to validate the theoretical information students have learned from the classroom.  With the academe and industry linkage they believe they can produce globally competitive graduates.
